Distressed at having no content...

It really bothers me that I still have nothing really to say of import. I could talk briefly of enjoying talking with anansi133 this evening at Third Place Books and the further speculation that getting him, myself, and queenofstripes together might cause an implosion. cindygerb said that she wouldn't want to see this since it would likely be too intense. I could talk about how I'm really starting to get into Kushiel's Avatar. I've just finished Chapter 19 and it's getting good. Heavy book though. I could talk about the idiocy of Oracle and Oracle Hosting and might even do so later but not of that is content. None of it is thinking about the world, thinking about people, thinking about stuff; it's just what's going on in my life. I'm not used to not having philosophical concepts bounce around my head wanting to be expressed. I'm not used to not spending my idle moments pondering imponderables. I don't like it either and I want to know why and how I can get back to good-thought.

Well, in the absence of actual content, I'll present the following. Two of the more interesting quiz-like objects that I've seen lately. Both of which force binary choices on the quiz-taker. Interesting bit that. (The second I posted to rougewench's journal but I'm duplicating here because while it's not content at least it's interesting non-content. (at least to me).

I was consigned to Lust, with cindygerb as well as Helen of Troy and Cleopatra. Not bad. I do rather wonder at being rated High on Violence though. Ah. The answer is due to the same-gender questions. We don't need no stinkin' genders.

The Dante's Inferno Test has banished you to the Second Level of Hell!
Here is how you matched up against all the levels:
Purgatory (Repenting Believers) Low
Level 1 - Limbo (Virtuous Non-Believers) Low
Level 2 (Lustful) Very High
Level 3 (Gluttonous) Moderate
Level 4 (Prodigal and Avaricious) Very Low
Level 5 (Wrathful and Gloomy) Low
Level 6 - The City of Dis (Heretics) Low
Level 7 (Violent) High
Level 8- the Malebolge (Fraudulent, Malicious, Panderers) Moderate
Level 9 - Cocytus (Treacherous) Low

Take the Dante's Inferno Hell Test

I originally got compassion but there were several questions that I could've gone either way on, so I went back and changed some to see if I'd get something different. The funny thing is both cards really came out as true for me. I do have a very strong devotion to love but at the same time, I am willing to sacrifice for wisdom.

Your strongest virtue is your Sacrifice,
visualized here by the tarot card 'The Hanged Man'.
Your actions are equally guided by your
devotion to both courage and love. Truth may
be important as well, but above all it is
sacrifice that is paramount to you.
What's Your Strongest Virtue?

I looked at the other answers and it seemed that the yin-yang was culturally inappropriate and the Fool was just wrong. Where's the fool about to walk off the cliff? Where is the distraction of the material world represented by the yapping dog?

Oh well. I'm probably being pedantic again...

I promise to post no more quizzes and such for a while. I will come up with some content tomorrow (Wednesday). I just don't know how yet.
