Reading bunches and bunches|
So, I've finally gone through my friends list as far as I could before LJ cut me off, even with
?show=P. There are too many cool, well-written people out there. I skimmed most of it and I'm going to comment on practically none of it. I've put some of it into tabs and learning from past mistakes, I've already saved the session in case something happens. I still need to respond to the tabs. Wow. Lots of stuff.
In other news, I've been reading about PRNG's today and how the one that Civ4 uses is not very good. I'm probably going to have our Civ4 mod use the Mersenne Twister algorithm. If not that, at least use decent A, C, & M for the Linear Congruential Method rather than the ones that come with the game.
At work, I'm very happy that I can have timestamps with my IM now that Gaim has implemented Meanwhile. Several co-workers have already said "Gimme" and a few are eagerly awaiting my testing it out. In other work news someone today sent a 72 Mb file to over 800 users. Even worse, it was a powerpoint presentation that the person had just sent the link for. Needless to say, it crashed Notes. Oops.
