I am vastly amused that after I talked about CPR and ethical issues around it, this last Wednesday, I had a 3½ hour training session on First Aid, CPR, and using an AED. I'd completely forgotten that I needed to do this as part of my duties as a Floor Warden at work. They did talk about people possibly being confused and not wanting to cause a fuss. They didn't mention anything about being a "First Responder" like singingnettle said. It wasn't that in-depth.
It was through the American Heart Association rather than the Red Cross. Rather than only being good for one year, it's good for two. Handy that.
